How to Increase Kindle Royalty to 70-Percent
Many authors should increase the amount of royalty share for their Kindle books, but they don't know how to change their agreement. The following video walks you through the process:
Notes:
- Amazon's minimum retail price point for the 70% royalty share is currently $2.99. By contrast, Apple's direct contract with a 70% royalty has a minimum retail price point of 99¢.
- Amazon charges a delivery fee. For instance, my novel Apex Toll is 300-pages and has a delivery fee of 3¢. So, that should be considered.
- Re-publishing books in the public domain is allowed, but the royalty drops to 35%.
